My name is Tim and I am running for Vice President.

My first Free Spirit was 1993. I was new to the pagan community at the time and had never been to the pagan event before. FSG changed my life; it was the first time I had ever truly felt at home. I finally met people of a similar spiritual direction and felt welcomed into a community.

Since then, FSG continues to be a large part of my life, it is a time when I can reconnect with people I have spent far too little time with as well as meet new people, exchange ideas and learn new ways of doing things.

I see FSA events as places where new members of our community can meet various covens and groves, where people of many paths can learn from each other, as well as being a vacation where we can take off the masks and be more ourselves.

I have been on staff for FSG for most of the years I have been attending the festival, most recently having been coordinator for FSG 2010.

I ask you to consider me to serve as Vice President of FSA so I can continue giving back to the community that I have received so much from and so I can support the President and officers of FSA as we try to bring well-run events that serve the great diversity of paths that make up our community.

If elected, I hope to use my skills and abilities to help ensure fiscally responsible events that can continue to provide this wonderful opportunity for learning and growth for the generations to come, to reach out to the greater community and to help work on making these events places where people of many faiths and paths can meet and share ideas respectfully.

Tim
