Tonight, we awaken the Temple of Venus with pounding drums, joyful voices, dancing feet, and grateful hearts.

Continuing the spell begun at Beltane, we’ll set the weekend’s intentions and create a sacred space where we can experience play, healing, and ecstasy throughout the Fires of Venus. Be there as we Invite every part of ourselves as expressions of the Divine Love within us, bringing them forth in loving offering to Venus.

Come ready to sing, drum, dance, play, make love, bear witness, get freaky, go deep, embrace the moment, and above all, Invite yourself to be fully present at this opening ritual, the first of three Fires of Venus.

Inspiration

We have invited ourselves to be fully present within the Temple of Venus; now it’s time to get inspired!

Tonight, we seek inspiration to Love with those parts of ourselves that we usually ignore or hide away.

Learning to play in new ways, express ourselves in different modalities, and nourishing those parts of ourselves that we sometimes reject is all necessary preparation for tomorrow night’s work of expressing Love with our fully integrated being. What parts of yourself are you uncomfortable examining, loving, and playing with? How can you stop holding back and embrace more fully authentic expressions of Love? How can you inspire others in the circle to do the same?

We seek to inspire at the fire, bringing our whole selves forth, and open to deeper, more expansive Love. Bring your joy, your pain, your hopes, your fears, your willingness, and your entire authentic being to the second of three Fires of Venus.

Saturday

Integration

On this climactic night together, we celebrate the ecstasy of union that is at the very heart of Love. Together we create and share the magic of Integration as we come together within ourselves, as a community, and into the embrace of Venus Herself.

How can we bring every area of your life into alignment with Love? How can we reach out to the world with Love? When you finally leave the sacred space of this festival, how will you take all that you’ve experienced here and integrate it with your daily life? Will it radically change the way you live, or will you simply see the same things more beautifully through the eyes of Love?

Together, we revel in the joy of sharing sensual pleasures with our community and with our lady Venus. Our ritual will be inspired by the Hindu puja ceremony, in which She is welcomed as the beloved guest of honor Who joins us at a lavish feast. We will raise glasses to Her, share sweet and savory treats with Her, adorn Her, and entertain Her.

Bring cushions or blankets to lounge on, offerings of food or drink or flowers; bring your sensual skills, your songs, your stories, your toasts, your dancing. This will be a little different from the rituals we’re used to, as ceremony flows into celebration. Come Integrate our community in a great collective act of sensual indulgence—make art, make love, make merry, make whole!
