Arakeane & Selene: Arakeane exploits the diversity of his religious, sexual, and spiritual background to bring a unique mix of talent to the pagan community. His Baptist, Methodist, Evangelical, Thalamic, and Mormon background from his early years intermingles with his vast experience in sadomasochism, liberal sexuality, and avant-garde spirituality tempered by his various Wiccan experiences and practices for the past 20 years. A Naval Officer, Engineer, Physicist, Computer Scientist, and Dungeon Master by trade, Arakeane interleaves his professional training into his quest for spiritual awareness and comprehension. The thrice sworn soul-mate of the High Priestess Selene, Arakeane has been in the public Pagan forum since the late 1980s. A Distinguished Toastmaster, off-Broadway New York actor, trained in NLP, holistic healing, and a diverse set of other spiritual disciplines, Arakeane's spontaneous and entertaining presentation style typically delights his audience. Even if you've taken a previous year's workshop, you're sure to be delighted with the continuous changes introduced, and Arakeane's ability to spiritually immerse you in the subject matter. Namasté. I'm Selene. I Became a High Priestess in 1980. I have been a Starwood Elder for the past several years, and my husband Arakeane and I have taught at FSG since the mid 1990s. Danny Snook: At FSG he chooses to focus more of his energy towards working with the teens. Several years ago he noticed that there was a gap between children's programming and adult programming and grew concerned about the young adults in this age range. As father to two active children, Danny is accustomed to always being on-the-go, which helps him keep up with the teenagers. His wife, Dee Dee, is grateful that the teens keep her husband entertained and wear him out for her since she believes he has way too much energy for any one person to have. Most people who know Danny agree with her. Each year he strives to provide an enjoyable inclusive festival experience for all the teens at camp. He works to keep them occupied, supervised and entertained all at the same time.

David's spiritual path has gone from growing up Lutheran to a decade of the Episcopal experience to embracing the theology of the Divine Within with a decidedly metaphysical slant. Now that he has a deeply satisfying spirituality and a way of being that would have been unthinkable not so long ago, David has developed one heck of an open mind about spiritual practices and beliefs, beginning with his own! His decades-long journey of exploring the relationship between our physical, spiritual, emotional and cognitive selves has led David to an ever-deeper connection and understanding of sacred sexuality and the completeness of the body/mind relationship.

David lives and works in an incredible, sacred 129-year-old Gothic building in Baltimore, with a large ballroom and fabulous ceremony garden which he makes available for wedding and commitment ceremonies and receptions. He is also a school-trained massage therapist, and he has been specializing in and teaching Deep Tissue Massage for the past for 14 years. He has led massage workshops of a half dozen to over a hundred people in a remarkably wide range of settings. His massage workshops are always hands-on and lots of fun! He will involve you in dynamic, participatory workshops laced with humor and genuine fun. All of his workshops go deep. They are safe, non-judgmental, conscious and consensual environments for touching your core energies, physical or spiritual, and coming away with a greater understanding of your needs and desires (not to mention feeling better!). DeeDee was born and raised in Appalachia. Her grandmother taught her many faerie practices that had been passed down to her by her mother. The basis of these traditions most likely originated from Irish and Scottish stories and practices which were able to be preserved within the family for several generations due to the relative isolation of the area. Due to an increased interest in the faerie traditions and as a result of many requests from friends, Dee Dee is working on a system of making the teachings and traditions she learned in her childhood accessible to anyone and everyone who wishes to develop a closer relationship to the faerie realms.

Eric S comes to pagan/heathen practice after being raised in Methodist and Southern Baptist traditions, and then spending over 20 years as an atheist. When he first encountered Norse practice, he was surprised to find out that it fit most of what he already did and believed in life, minus the deities. Eric now follows a Norse path influenced by classical philosophy, pragmatism and scholarship. He has always felt most strongly tied to Heimdall, even when he didn't really realize why or what that meant. Eric is drawn to forms of guardianship at many levels.

Naraya started her Middle Eastern dance training over ten years in Oregon, where she first glimpsed the beautiful and powerful tribal style of Gypsy Caravan. After performing cabaret professionally for over seven years, the draw of tribal's trademark improvisational group style as well as the funk of new fusion styles proved too much for her, and she began her tribal dance training in earnest. To date, Naraya has performed at some of the most sought after venues and events in NYC including: Lincoln Center, the UN, the Egyptian Embassy, on the sets of popular independent movies such as "Copsa Mica," and the hit TV show Rescue Me with Dennis Leary, as well as many others. Artistic Director and Founder of Vadalna Tribal Dance Company, Naraya has been taking her company on the road throughout the United States performing tribal-fusion as well as offering sold-out workshops on tribal improvisation, balancing and fusion techniques. Currently based out of Boston, MA, Naraya is focusing on teaching a weekly class and working closely with the powerful vocals and dreamscape composition of Incus. Other current projects include working on the set of the movie "Top Secret International Pictures" (otherwise known as "Code Name Pike"), due for release nation-wide in 2009. Naraya, also an avid researcher of the history of Middle Eastern dance, hosts regular lectures and demonstrations throughout the United States and is currently in the process of completing her MA at Brandeis University. Naraya will soon embark on the creation of The Tribal Bible, Vol. 2 in collaboration with well-known author and performer Kajira Djoumahna of Black Sheep Belly Dance. shadowfire l'solarac: i have been a practicing solitary for over 30 years. i combine many paths of paganism as well some christian views to make a more well rounded solitary path. i have been teaching others on a limited basis, teaching the first steps and then letting the spirit guide them to other teachers. i have also been working on my family tree for over 5 years and have not even scratched the surface of the many branches. i am a writer of short stories and prose, as well as an abstract expressionist painter. i am a triple virgo with my moon on the cusp of libra, so i tend to be very earth centered; however, sometimes i find my head in the clouds :). i am also a triple 9 for you numerologists. there is too much about me to put into this tiny spot, so get to know me better and you can judge for yourself.

Whittney Matlock is a professional massage therapist, Pagan priest, healer and educator. His path to the Old Ways began when he was very young and every step has been an exciting journey. After years of exploring his connection to the Gods and Goddesses, in the early nineties he began a journey into the world of BDSM. Discovering the magick in BDSM pushed him deep into the world of ecstatic trance, giving him the tools to explore this amazing world of consciousness. All of these experiences have taught him to help others learn to heal through trust, touch and ecstasy. He has learned his crafts from the bottom up, beginning by following the path of ordeal and coming to discover his personal power through it. Now, a teacher in the BDSM and Pagan communities, he combines his experience of healing, faith and trance work to offer insights into the many ways in which magick manifests itself around us in every aspect of life.

Whittney is a perennial presenter for the Black Rose Society and The Crucible, in DC. He explores and teaches about the ordeal path with the members of Kindlers of the Sacred Rhythm, and he and his partner are facilitators for a public ordeal rite called SuspenDC. He and his lover are also working on many projects to be of service to their community, including creating Healing the Spirit, a fall healing retreat that focuses on teaching people to use the healing power inside themselves to change their lives.

Whittney's classes are not for the faint of heart. He'll see to it that everyone gets involved. His charm and panache will captivate you, as he pulls you out of your chair and eggs you on to discover what's inside yourself. Take a chance, risk discovering parts of yourself that you lost track of, or, maybe, even find something in you which you never knew existed.
