​The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel is a legally recognized Wiccan non-profit religious organization based in the Mid-Atlantic region. The form of Wicca that the Assembly practices is syncretic and draws inspiration from Astrology, Qabala, the Western Magickal Tradition, and the folk religions of Europe. Keepers of the Holly Chalice, the founding coven of the Assembly began its life in February of 1984. The Assembly was incorporated in the state of Delaware in 1993 and was granted 501(c)(3) status by the IRS in 1995. The Assembly currently consists of eight covens: Keepers of the Holly Chalice, Coven of the Rowan Star, Oak & Willow, Weavers of the Moonfire, Guardians of the Windsword, Fellowship of the Ancient White Stag, Troupe of the Starry Door, and Chalice of Living Stars.

Bobbi and Kim: Bobbi Sheaffer has been pagan since she was introduced to the Greek pantheon in sixth grade. While festivals are relaxing and regenerative, she feels that it's also vital for people in recovery to have a structured 12-step meeting time and place. Bobbi makes her home at an old farmhouse in the beautiful mountains of Central PA, and she's been in the fields of psychotherapy and addictions for 16 years.

Kim Waite-Williams is an eclectic Pagan and proud member of the Group W Bench. She's attended and facilitated sober space at gatherings for over 10 years. She lives happy, joyous, and free in Northern Virginia with her mate Chris and their critters.

Caroline Kenner is a Washington Witchdoctor, a shamanic healer trained over the course of twelve years by Michael Harner and Sandra Ingerman of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and other fine shamanic teachers. In addition to her shamanic training, Caroline has received initiations and ceremonies in diverse spiritual traditions. She is a third degree Wiccan priestess initiated by Gavin Bone and Janet Farrar, and has also been initiated by the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel into their Order of Wandering Stars. Caroline has received a number of ceremonies in La Regla de Ocha de Lukumi, often known as Cuban Santería. She wears the Necklaces and holds the cauldron of the Warriors, and two soperas. She is legally ordained in the state of Maryland and helps produce the Sacred Space Conference, held every February. For many years, Caroline has worked as a religious freedom activist and media spokesperson for the Pagan community.

Christine has owned her own businesses for most of her life. Claire M. Sagewell is a Reiki Master Teacher, a Priestess, an Interfaith Minister and Spiritual Counselor, likes cats, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. An eclectic Witch for over 20 years, both as a solitary and a coven member, she is deeply committed to the scholarly, healthy, and balanced growth of the Pagan Community. To these ends, she is working on the publication of A Pagan Seder, which was recently mentioned on WitchVox and is the only one of its kind. She also continues to teach and write, and is deeply involved in building the skills and knowledge to found her own coven. Conrad Kubiak, owner of Spirit in the Wood Drum Company, is a master drum-maker whose designs are inspired by instruments from West Africa and Latin America as well as Native American shamanic traditions. Ashikos, Djembes, Congas, Batas, Bombas, Cajones, Kit Drums, and the Aboriginal Didgeridoo are among the instruments he builds and plays. Kubiak is an innovator in the manufacture of one piece solid wood drums. Spirit in the Wood sells both Kubiak's original instruments and traditional ones which he reinforces, refurbishes, and re-tunes. The process of making the instruments involves ritual precision while transforming the wood and finding its voice. In the Ivory Coast it is said: “A drummer gives voice to a tree.”

In addition to drum-making activities and workshops, Kubiak also leads corporate consultant leading team-building and motivational exercises during interactive seminars. As the facilitator of drum circles, ceremonies, and White Moment Rhythm Workshops, he develops outreach programs focusing on building communication, improving group dynamics, and appreciating other cultures. Through participatory experience, “white moments” (when left and right hemispheres of the brain are both synchronized and in-phase) are created and everything and everyone slows down as our minds move to a higher state of consciousness. Kubiak draws on his background in NLP as well as his work in the healing arts as a certified Shiatsu therapist, Reiki Master, CranioSacral therapist, and Feng Shui practitioner. In addition to a spiritual path that includes Sufism and Native American studies, he holds degrees in Irish literature, biology, and computer electronics. Kubiak also presented a paper on the “Psychology of Rhythm” at the Creative Arts Therapies Conference in Philadelphia and led a drumming circle in Atlantic City for members of the theatrical troupe performing in STOMP.

David White Feather is a water pourer, lodge builder, and fire keeper for the Sacred Stonepeople's Lodge. He poured his first public lodge at FSG in 1994. Since then, he has assisted and studied with healers and elders from various traditions and backgrounds. David has been keeping fire for vision quests since 2001. Though his lodge lineage is anchored through First Nations' traditions, his lodge medicine shifts to allow inclusiveness for all traditions and peoples.

As a queer transgendered disabled gypsy sex educator, author, trickster, pastoral care counselor, and shaman, he leads people through life's more challenging twists and turns. He is a council member of Clan Tashlin, an earth based teaching and magical order. Del has also worked with the ritual group Sacred Mark Sanctuary, doing energy pulls and hook suspension as ordeal. A pagan priest since 2000, and kinky since birth, Del especially enjoys exploring, teaching, and guiding people through experiences that combine their spirituality and sexuality. She has been working with the Spirits of the African Diaspora and leading creative rituals for 19 years. Called the “human iPod,” she is a traditional song mistress as well and a professional teacher, artist and a root worker.

Gwaeron views his three core practices as that of Warrior/Mage, Shamanic Seer, and Priest/Healer. These practices are a broad nine fold weave of a myriad of skills and trainings from: Witchcraft, Wicca, Asatru Heathenry, Martial Arts, SweatLodge Water Pourer, Apache Wilderness Survival Training, Shamanism (Native American, African, Celtic), Northern European and Tibetan Cosmologies, and Sorcery/Western Mysteries/Ceremonial (CM)/Experimental Magick. As a martial artist of many years, he has attuned himself to the flow of energies/Spirit that a Ninjutsu artist needs to direct and control. His education in the manipulation and control of energy fields (Chi, Ki, Magick) was greatly enhanced by Buddhist teachings. Helena Domenic is an Elder in the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. Helena has belonged to three covens within the Assembly previously, and served as High Priestess in two, Oak and Willow and Weavers of the Moonfire. She is now High Priestess of Chalice of the Living Stars, a coven in the Chester County, PA area. Helena was born in Italy, where she developed an eye for beauty, art and the magical early in life. An accomplished artist, Helena's art has been exhibited around the United States and abroad. Her specialties are Tarot, Qabala, and Art and the Sacred, and African art. In day to day life, Helena is an Assistant Professor of Art and Art History at Cheyney University of Pennsylvania, where she teaches Art History, African Art, and an assortment of drawing and painting classes. Helena has also taught at Sacred Space, Ecumenicon, Etheracon, Akashacon, Morgan's Cauldron, Rutgers University, The University of the Arts, and a variety of other venues. Helena has a BFA in Painting from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, an MA from The University of the Arts, and has an MFA from Goddard College in Vermont. ​Ivo Domínguez, Jr is a visionary, and a practitioner of a variety of esoteric disciplines. He has been active in Wicca and the Pagan community since 1978, has been teaching since 1982. Ivo was a founding member of Keepers of the Holly Chalice, the first coven of The Assembly of the Sacred Wheel a Wiccan Tradition. He currently serves as one of the Elders of the Assembly of The Sacred Wheel, a Wiccan syncretic tradition that draws inspiration from Astrology, Qabala, the Western Magickal Tradition and the folk religions of Europe. His techniques and insights are rooted in a synthesis of traditional metaphysical teachings, modern science, and memories from past lives. Ivo is also a professional astrologer who has studied astrology since 1980 and has been offering consultations and readings since 1988. ​Born in Moldova in the former Soviet Union, Izolda grew up steeped in the rich heritage of Eastern Europe. She spent her first few years listening to her great-grandmother speak about subjects as diverse as plants, stones, the weather, people, and music. As Izolda progressed in her chosen fields of environmental education (she travels the world for NASA teaching environmental education workshops), musical and tarot reading goals, she additionally began study of the energy workings of Reiki and Chi energy and yoga. She has been a Tai Chi practitioner and teacher for over 15 years, and she is a certified Reiki practitioner. More recently, in her Healer's Arts business she has also incorporated Holistic Life Coaching and Therapeutic Creativity. She is also the founder of the Life Elements System and the author of its accompanying book Life Elements. Her second book, the urban fantasy Fiddler's Talisman, was released in March of this year.

After teaching privately for over eleven years, in Autumn 2001, she began teaching a series of “Learn to Sing” classes and “Work In Harmony” corporate workshops and has incorporated an inquiry-based teaching style with traditional vocal technique, aesthetics, and mechanics all accomplished in a fun, relaxed, and confidence-inspiring atmosphere. These classes are intended to help participants discover and develop their voices and find joy in singing. After the classes are over, the students then put their knowledge into practice by performing a class recital at a local café. This allows the students to apply the vocal techniques and to get a taste of performing. Now in its twelfth year, the “Learn to Sing” class series has garnered rave reviews and increasing success.

Jae Sea holds a Third Degree with Keepers of the Holly Chalice, the founding coven of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. She has been a member of Keepers since 1988 and served as its High Priestess from 1998–2010. James Jones has been a Tibetan Buddhist in the Rime tradition for 10 years and is currently training in the Nyingma school. For six years, James has also been in a polyamorous relationship, although most of his training in poly is through the school of hard knocks and the occasional conference. He also has been known to work with the Norse pantheon from time to time.

​Jaqui MacMillan found her passion for African drumming in the early 1980s. Over a span of thirteen years, she studied with many Masters, including Babatunde Olatunji, Mamady Keita, Sam Turner, and Mahiri Fadjimba Keita at the Tam Tam Mandingue School in Washington, D.C. Having performed and recorded with some of the top names in the business, she began sharing her joy of drumming with others by teaching classes and facilitating community drum circles. Jaqui has taught privately and given workshops throughout the USA for over seventeen years through her Drum for Joy! program.

WAMA awarded Jaqui the World Music Instrumentalist Award every year from 1995 through 2002 and she was featured in the Women Drummers 2000 issue of DRUM! Magazine. In 1999 and 2001, she attended the Drum Circle Facilitators Playshop and Mentor Training in Hawaii with Arthur Hull. Jaqui has facilitated drum circles for hundreds of conferences, corporate team building events, schools, hospitals, programs for at-risk children, juvenile detention centers, and programs for homeless and battered women. She is also a founding board member of the DCFG. Jaqui is currently creating a drum program for children, which includes a line of drums and percussion instruments and she is the director of The Drum For Joy Orchestra.

Jim Welch, RN HNB, BC is High Priest of Troupe of The Starry Door, one of the Covens in the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. He was formerly High Priest of Keepers of the Holly Chalice, the founding coven of the ASW. He has been active in the Wiccan/Pagan community since 1981. He was the chair of the committee that wrote the ASW's code of ethics. He teaches a variety of workshops that focus on ethics. He is a Waterpourer and conducts Sweat ceremonies using Wiccan protocols. Jim practices a variety of forms of healing touch and healing ritual and is certified in Holistic Nursing. One of his great loves is music and he has taught many chant workshops and directed the music for the chant CDs A Dream Whose Time Is Coming and Awakening The Dream. Jim is one of the stewards of Seelie Court, 102 acres of wooded land in Southern Delaware, and the home of the New Alexandrian Library.

She is a follower of the Norse gods, a Fire Keeper for Sweat Lodge, a Seidhrkona, and worker of the runes and herbal magick. She is an artist, an armchair anthropologist, and an environmentalist. Kitty has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from NY State College of Ceramics and has studied Anthropology at Temple University. Currently, she is back in school for a degree in environmental science. Her inspiration for her studies and her work come from her spiritual life, believing that you can't follow your future fully without knowing some of your past.

She has been involved with sweat lodge since 1998, when she was called to walk up the hill at FSG in the driving rain and experience sweat lodge for the first time! Trained and given permission to pour water in 2000 by Ivo Domínguez, Jr. and Diane Shevira Stonewater, she currently pours the Wiccan 5 parts of Self protocol, in the tradition of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. She is currently High Priestess of Keepers of the Holly Chalice, Water of Water, in the Circle of Pisces, and a third degree initiate of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel. She is an artist, lover, ecstatic dancer and singer, critter mom, professional problem solver, and manifester of visions. With her dear life partner Mark, she stewards the most beautiful forest in the land, and keeps the sanctuary at Faerewood in the hills of northern Maryland.

The BRMC is affiliated with the Emerald Grove in Lancaster, PA; the Clover Grove of the Unitarian Church of Harrisburg, PA; and is quite active with the Lancaster Pagan Community Yahoo Group. He teaches at local Pagan Bookstores, Metaphysical Chapels, private homes, and the Covenstead on a regular basis. His specialty of teaching tends to be most forms of Divination, Astrology and Ritual. LFB is also a Reiki Master and Teacher. He leads Drum Circles, SweatLodges and Healing Circles throughout the Wheel of the Year from the PA Covenstead.

Lynn's passion is Celtic music, which she's been performing professionally for over twenty years. She has performed with the world-beat Pagan folk band Kiva, the Pyrates Royale, and her main musical focus, Keltish. Lynn has been playing the bodhran, or Irish frame drum, for nearly all of her adult musical career and has taken classes through the House of Musical Traditions. She's tutored and taught all along the way, and has an easy style of training people in on the basics of bodhran playing, upon which they can then build greater and greater performance skills.

Michael G Smith has been practicing Wicca, Magick, and various esoteric disciplines since 1989. He has been active in the pagan community since 1993 when he became a member of the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel (ASW), a Wiccan organization in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is an Elder of the ASW and is currently serving as High Priest of Coven of the Rowan Star, a coven in that Tradition. He is also involved with the Tradition's New Alexandrian Library.

He is a Priest of both Horus and Bast, and works extensively with the Egyptian deities in his personal practices, where he uses a syncretic array of esoteric disciplines from Wicca and the Western magickal and shamanic traditions. He is inspired and sustained by his studies of Astrology, Qabalah, Ritual, and Natural Magick. He was trained as a Water Pourer by Shiverah Stonewater, and since 1995 has led sweat lodge ceremonies at Seelie Court and various pagan events, and is finishing a book on the sweat lodge ceremony from a pagan perspective. He is currently dividing his time between Ancient Egyptian Studies and balancing the Magick, Religion, and Spirituality of Wicca. He is pursuing a degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies at the University of Delaware and is a member of the American Academy of Religions and its Contemporary Pagan Studies Group.

He sits on the Board of several different contemporary pagan/magickal community organizations because of the importance of the work they do and how they express the future of our diverse heritage. He is on the Board of Directors of Cherry Hill Seminary, an organization that is taking an important step in providing distance education for professional Pagan Ministry. He is also on the Board of Directors of the Sacred Space Conference, one of the last remaining hotel-based conferences in the Mid-Atlantic region.

He lives in southern Delaware where he works, loves, and teaches, and is one of the stewards of Seelie Court, 102 acres of pagan-owned land dedicated to the growth and evolution of the pagan paths.

She has specialized in Reiki, a unique Japanese form of energy work, for over 22 of those years, is founder of Northeastern Pennsylvania's first and longest running Reiki School and co-op, and is certified through three lineages of Usui and Karuna Reiki™. She holds the distinction of being contracted by hospitals to provide Reiki training to medical staff. Satayana uses her abilities and experience to demystify Reiki and teaches regularly at FSG and other pagan gatherings. Aside from Reiki, her workshops have included shamanic journeying, guided visualization, ritual creation, healing dance, drum circles, and crystal and gemstone healing and seership. Attaining third degree in 1990, she led over 200 open circles in the mountains of PA, serving her rural community and neighboring cities, before retiring in 2003. She resides there still on 80 acres of woods and fields with her consort, Greenman, growing a sustainable and creative life together.

Sharon Igoe von Behren (Nana Sharon) grew up with music all around her. Her grandfather played the fiddle with the Sons of the Pioneers way back in the old radio days, and her father and uncles all played multiple instruments—banjo, guitar, mandolin, piano, fiddle—and sang their hearts out. Many was the night when Nana Sharon went to bed to the sound of her family making music! She started to take music lessons herself at the age of 10, sang in many choirs, played percussion, piano, and organ in her high school orchestra and band, and is currently pursuing her degree in Music at a college in Maryland. At the moment, Nana Sharon sings with two choirs and directs two more, and has come out of retirement as a church musician to help another congregation find their voice. She is a Neophyte in the Blue Star Tradition, with her home grove being Rogue Star in Baltimore.
