Sun Bear - Starparent (Sun Bear; Very Hot)
Four rounds; each one opens up with honoring an element and an animal that goes with that direction,
e.g. Air/Eagle. Prayers are to Grandmother and Grandfather. Note: Women on moontime cannot
sweat, but are welcome to sit outside the lodge and enjoy the healing energy. Thu 10:15a-12:15p
Elemental - Buffalo (Wiccan; Very Hot)
Generally, this sweat is four rounds; focus is meditation/prayer/healing. Guides include spirits of the
land and/or deities that are invited during this particular ritual. Thu 4:30p-6:30p
Charge of the Goddess - Wilddragon (Wiccan; Hot)
We will cast a circle and invoke the Great Goddess, listen to the words of Her Charge and speak of our
responses to those words. This Sweat usually lasts 5 rounds. Fri 10:15a-12:15p
Wiccan - Starparent (Wiccan; Very Hot)
Five rounds; each one is dedicated to the healing of our bodies and our souls as we will be doing some
journeying during this sweat to our inner child. This is serious healing work that can also be great
bonding and good fun. Fri 2:00p-4:00p
Welcome - West (Plains Traditional; Mild/Medium)
Plains-style sweatlodge, relaxing, focusing, and invigorating. We'll honor the lodge, ancestors, and land.
This is intended as a gentle, refreshing sweatlodge for those of us (including me!) who don't perform this
ritual regularly. Expect 1-1½ hours. Bring 2 towels, water, and a totem object for blessing. Attend skyclad or
in a loose wrap, like a robe or sarong. Fri 4:30p-6:30p
Sacred Bodies - Wilddragon (Wiccan; Hot)
We will Cast a circle and invoke Aphrodite, asking her to inspire us with understanding of the sacredness
of our bodies and our sexuality. The second round will be devoted to healing our sexuality. Non-genital
touch will be required. This sweat usually lasts about 5 rounds. Sat 10:15a-12:15p
Ancestor/Ghede Sweat - Firesong (Eclectic/Vodou; Hot; Herbs: Lavender, cedar, sage, and osha root; no tobacco in the lodge.)
Our ancestors continue to walk with us. Working with one's ancestors is at the heart of Vodou. Baron La Kwa and
Maman Brigitte keep the crossroads of the Dead. The Ghede, or nameless Dead, are their often-raucous children.
In these 4 rounds, we'll honor, sing and pray to the guardians of the veil between the worlds and to our
departed loved ones. Sat 2:00p-4:00p
Elemental - Buffalo (Wiccan; Very Hot; Herbs: Sage, sweetgrass, osha root)
Generally, the sweat is four rounds; the focus is meditation/prayer/healing. Guides include spirits of the land
and/or deities that are invited during this particular ritual. Sat 4:30p-6:30p
