If you wish to give offerings to the fire, those items must be environmentally friendly and must burn clean in the fire. For instance, loose tabacco is acceptable, but the plastic filter of a cigarette is not. Things such as food, alcohol, flash paper, and items that are 100% cotton are acceptable; please use common sense (or check) otherwise.

There will be a pre-ritual briefing at the start time listed in this program; the actual ritual begins twenty minutes after that.
Attending Pagan Festivals With Kids - Jennifer Hunter
As a single mom, I've brought my daughter Ilana to two festivals, once at age 1½ and once at age 3½. Both times involved many challenges; the first time it was her inexhaustible desire to eat rocks and propensity to careen down hillsides. The second time, it was potty training and tantrums. But it also gave me a way to share my spirituality with someone I love fiercely: we danced to the drums and watched the bonfire, explored Nature and reveled in community. This year, she's 5½, and I bravely try again. At this workshop, we'll discuss the particular challenges and opportunities of different ages, which festivals are ideal for kids and why, perfect a list of essential items to bring (and not bring!), discuss coping strategies when the going gets tough, and talk about our worst and best experiences bringing kids to festival. I may turn information gathered here into an article or book! (No names used without permission.) Bring your kids if they won't be overly disruptive.

Belly Dancing for Beginners - Darius Morningstar
The purpose of this workshop is provide attendees with an introduction to belly dancing as it was taught to me. We will cover basic belly dancing movements as well as discussing how to use dance as a form of meditation. While some styles of dance teach students a complete dance routine that the student must memorize, this class will give attendees as many tools as possible in a short time frame to dance as they please. In other words, my theory is not to teach people to dance, but to teach themselves to dance. Belly dancing is a beautiful form of motion for men and women of all ages, shapes and sizes, so come have some fun. It is recommended that participants bring a scarf to tie around their hips.

Chi of Death - Michelle Zee
The summer solstice marks the beginning of the death of the year. In our society we often avoid talking about death, especially our own. The rituals/meditations will vary from day to day.
Dance Trance Revolution: Sacred Dance For 'Non-Dancers' - Rebecca Proch
As children, we dance and spin just for the sheer silly joy of it. As we get older, most of us grow more inhibited about dancing, more aware of whether or not we're doing it well. Yet in cultures around the world, dance has always been one of the most common ways for even "ordinary" people to celebrate and touch the Divine. In this gentle, invigorating workshop, we will center ourselves with easy warmups and cooldowns, and learn about the history of sacred dance in between playful dance exercises aimed at overcoming shyness and inspiring our imaginations. You don't have to be A Dancer to offer dancing to the Divine! Make sure your clothing is comfortable to move in and please bring water. Afterwards, take what you learn down to the nightly fire circles and play!.

We strongly suggest that you attend Songs of the Lwa if you plan to join us for the Fet.
Five Different Views of Gods, Spirts and the Soul. - Tim Salisbury
Did Humanity create the Gods or did the Gods create Humanity? How many parts does a Soul have? Why is it that more is written about people who talk to Gods than by the people who talk to Gods? Around the world, most folks have their ideas about Gods and Spirits limited to what they were taught as children in the faith of their parents. Many have a view of the unseen world limited by only knowing one or two different possibilities and not having the vocabulary or tools to explore further, or were taught a misunderstood concept from unreliable sources. This workshop will give an overview of different opinions and theories of Gods and the Soul, as viewed by some old and new religions and recent books. While this class will not give any definitive answers, I hope it will give the attendees things to consider as well as some tools to help them in their own research and learning. The lecture and discussion will include help in identifying reliable resources for research, as well as at least five different views on the Gods and the Human relationship with them. This class is open to all but a familiarity of basic religious terms will be very helpful in understanding the concepts presented.
The Freeze - Discordian Staff
It's hot in June. Who wants to go do something that makes you sweat? Come to the Discordian Freeze, a light-hearted alternative. Scott Mohnkern will be offering a Blót to Skaldi, the Goddess of ice/cold, and there may be frozen mead available for those who wish to partake. Although it is a parody, the Freeze is sacred space, and we ask participants to treat it accordingly. For Discordians, Asatru, people who are hot, or people looking for a very different ritual experience. It actually takes place in the parking lot to the back right of the Tin Can.

Like their salty humor, The Ghedes' workshop is for adults only. [18+].

Join us for a chance to meet other supportive non-Pagans and discuss these questions and more in an open and friendly atmosphere.

Hecate's Crossroads - Cat Castells & Larissa Guran
Women's lives cycle naturally--by the phases of the moon and the tides of our lives. We face countless crossroads in our lives, from girlchild to maiden, maiden to mother; even from being the mother of a suckling child to being the mother of a grown child is a transition worth honoring. As our lives shift in priorities and focus, recognizing the rite of passage can help us bring closure to one phase and move openly toward the new and unknown. Join an intimate group of women. We call upon Hecate, Goddess of the Crossroads as we acknowledge and honor the transitions that we are making in our lives. All those that self-define as women are welcome.
Hermes Council - Bill Seligman (Fàidh)
Men and women are different. Though we share a common spiritual ground, there are Women's Mysteries and Men's Mysteries that can be experienced separately. The Hermes Council is a mens-only spiritual group. It complements the shared spirituality of men and women by offering men a separate space to address their spiritual needs. The rituals and practices of the Hermes Council are based on Wiccan and Native American traditions, and will probably be familiar to you. What is unique about us is the degree of honesty and communication that we share in our ritual space.
After a short (10-15 minute) introduction, we will perform a mens-only ritual in the Hermes Council tradition. The ritual will include a council, where we'll pass around a talking stick and give every participant a chance to speak. Please feel free to bring drums and other musical instruments, cups for juice or seltzer, and any other ritual equipment with which you are comfortable (e.g., athames). Once we have defined our sacred space and cast our circle, we will be reluctant to allow latecomers to enter. Please be on time.
Hey, Judaism: Your Pagan Roots are Showing! - Jennifer Hunter
Most Pagans know about how Christianity was built on the ashes of European Paganism: the Yule tree, the Ostara eggs, 'Saint' Brigid, and so forth. Judaism is no different. The founders of this tradition replaced polytheism with monotheism, nature reverence with intellectual metaphor, Goddess worship with a genderless (though masculine) God, and sexual passion with a passion for book learning. Fortunately, there are plenty of clues to what went before, if we want to dig for them. Passover falls on a full moon and is the start of the barley harvest. A statue of the Goddess Asherah once stood in the Jerusalem Temple, and the feminine term Shechinah is a word for God's presence in the world. There are traditions of both folk magic and high magic, even sex magic. Hebrew is as magical an alphabet as any ancient runes. In this workshop, we'll explore all these facets of Hebrew history and Jewish tradition, and then go on to cover some of the ways Jewish Pagans and Jewitches may blend them into a practice. (Open to all).
Highway Goddess: Epona in Our Century - Olive
This advanced-level workshop employs spellwork, visualization, and silent experiential ritual. The ritual explores the kinship between man and the horse, in the labor one gives to please who one loves. Especially it portrays this relationship as a male mystery, as an exploration of what rewards there are for men who commit to supporting and renewing their culture over destroying it. You know Epona as the Divine Mare and a Goddess of the Noonday Sun. Her roads connect cities, her back carries commerce, and her herd is legion. Trace Epona's journey from the only Celtic God honored in Rome to the spirit honored in 30-second commercials. We will propitiate her in spellwork, follow Her in vision around Her Wheel of the Year, listen to Her Charge of the Goddess, and pour out libations in Her name. We will also honor Epona with a ritual done by gesture and glance, and the language not of humans but the horse. Please don't feed sugar cubes to Epona! For adults who have experience with energy work and symbolism. [21+].
The Horned God - Jennifer Hunter
Pan, Cernunnos, Herne, Ba'al--all these Gods are depicted as human figures with horns or antlers. Horned Gods are a joining of human and animal, civilization and the wild. They are also associated with fertility, sexuality, night, the forest, even panic and chaos. In this workshop, we'll learn about each of these beings, examining how these ancient deities transformed over millennia into 'evil' figures like Baphomet and Satan, and later, the Wiccan 'Horned One.' We'll talk about how they have been depicted in literature and other media. We'll discuss our own personal visions of them and experiences with them. At the end, there will be a short ritual to honor and celebrate the Horned One in all his names and guises.
Initiation in Vodou and Other Traditions - K Filan & Kathy Latzoni

Interfaith Roundtable - Rev. Mark Crewson
We'll gather to share the structure of our beliefs, our concepts of divinity, our understanding of the nature of good and evil, and all the related topics that come to our collective minds. We'll also share how our respective groups (families or even individuals) organize themselves, worship the divine and pass on important knowledge. You might also learn about some of the varied approaches to practice and worship so that you can better decide which ones bear more investigation for your own spiritual journey. If you're interested in learning more about the diversity of belief that makes FSG such a magical place, please join us! Bring an open mind and check your dogma at the door! ;).

According to the theories of Chinese medicine, these techniques help balance the flow of qi, or vital energy, in the body. We will discuss and practice the use of acupressure points for physical, emotional, and spiritual balancing, and also learn a simple self-shiatsu routine. If time permits, we will also do some partner work. Please bring a mat or towel to lie on for stretching.

Is Vodou Only For Christians? - Kathy Latzoni
Vodou in Haiti has incorporated many symbols and rituals of Christianity--the use of saints' images to represent the lwa and the Catholic prayers which begin a ceremony are just two examples. One proverb says that "All the best houngans and mambos are Catholic." But is this true? Do you have to use Christian imagery to serve the lwa? Some pagans as well as Afrocentrists are starting to challenge that. We'll look at the relationship between Christianity and African traditional beliefs, from the colonial period though today, and we'll consider some ways that Pagans who serve the lwacan honor both the Vodou tradition and their own spiritual principles. This discussion is for all who want to learn more about African diasporic traditions. Diverse opinions and experiences will be heard; respect for each other is absolutely necessary. .

Labyrinth - Paul & Eve
The labyrinth is an ancient form for meditation common to many cultures. It can be taken as a metaphor for life's journey, or a mystery of turning inward to a center free of distractions and illusions. Paul and Eve will, as in prior years, be laying out a classical 7-circuit labyrinth. This is sacred space; please be quiet in this area in respect for those using the labyrinth and the nearby sweat circles. Meeting The Needs Of Unusual People in Pagan Groups - Raven Kaldera
What do you do when someone shows up to your Pagan group who has special needs, such as physical or mental handicaps, mental illnesses, autism, or neurological problems? What do you do when someone shows up who lives an alternative lifestyle--queer, or transgendered/transsexual, or into BDSM, or body modification, or polyamorous? What if they're "multiple-axis offenders"--people with several of these issues at once? What if they make your ordinary, average, "normal" members uncomfortable? Let's discuss what to do when an ethic of diversity slams up against people's biases, and share advice on how to handle the special needs of unusual people.
Men Without Pants - Raven Kaldera & Joshua Tenpenny
You've probably seen a lot of guys wandering around in skirts at FSG and probably other gatherings. What's the allure of skirts for guys? What sorts of skirts are best for guys, and why? From circles to Utilikilts, this completely non-serious workshop is for guys who love skirts and guys who are interested but haven't yet got the nerve up. We'll discuss moving in a skirt without compromising masculine habits or anatomy, and maybe have a fashion show of pantsless men.
Mermaids, Selkies and Sirens - Cenn Ruadh
To ancient peoples the world over, the sea was a vast and uncharted region. Seafaring folk brought home tales of the wonders they had seen, the challenges they had meet, and the dangers that they had encountered. No creatures were more alluring, fascinating, and enthralling than mermaids, selkies and sirens.
Moving Meditation: Connecting with the Divine While Hiking - Rev. Mark Crewson
Join us for this workshop/ritual. We will hike the perimeter of Camp Ramblewood, using the journey as a vehicle for meditation, not cutting us off from the world, but actively connecting with Nature on a deeper level so that we may see her beauty with new eyes and learn from her vast knowledge. Experience with meditation is a plus, though not required. Using bug spray and sunscreen before the class would be a good precaution. We will meet at the Dining Hall Porch and depart from there.
My Gods--Did That Hurt? - Del
As with most clothing-optional events, many people who sport various body modifications (piercings, tattoos, etc) get the age-old question, "Did that hurt?" Come share your story about your body modifications and whatever meanings they hold for you. Curious about body modification as a lifestyle or ritual choice? Come talk with some who have experienced it! For people with body modifications and those interested in getting modified.
The Night Sky - Bill Seligman (Fàidh)

If there's time and interest, the presenter (a particle physicist) will go over the connection between the stars, the strong nuclear force, and you.
Nine Noble Virtues - Scott A. Mohnkern
Asatruar (Those who follow the Norse path of Asatru) follow a set of moral and ethical guidelines referred to as the Nine Noble Virtues. These Virtues guide us in our everyday lives. Here we will discuss these virtues, what they mean to us, and how they help us in our day to day lives.

Northern-Tradition Herbalism - Raven Kaldera
The ancient peoples of Northern Europe had a working knowledge of herbs that included not only their medicinal uses but also partnership with the plant spirits. The early-Medieval healers of Northern Europe were known as the Leike, and their course of study included this style of hands-on, soul-on herbalism, as well as spells and charms for working with the plant spirits and their patron deities. We'll explore this form of medicinal and magical herbalism the way our ancestors did. If you're a Pagan or Heathen and you call yourself a healer, this is a class you should take.
Northern-Tradition Shamanism - Raven Kaldera
This workshop introduces a shamanic tradition that is being slowly reconstructed by modern practitioners, based on the spiritual paths and tools of Germanic, Norse, Anglo-Saxon, and Saami ancient tribal peoples. We'll discuss tools and techniques, Gods and spirits, roles and taboos, and the difference between a shaman and a shamanic practitioner. Come learn the shamanic traditions of my ancestors... and perhaps your own.
Odin Blót - Scott A. Mohnkern
Join us Wednesday morning to celebrate Odin, the runes, and the blessings he gives us. Whether you worship Odin, Wotan, Wode, or just are curious about this interesting northern God, come on down and start the morning with a early morning wakeup. A blót is an Asatru ritual of celebration involving a round of toasts offered to the god asking for his or her kinship. [21+].
Opening Ecumenical Sumbel - Scott A. Mohnkern
Open up FSG by celebrating the gods and goddess with a toast. Come join us at the beginning of festival for a round of three toasts to the gods, our ancestors, and ourselves, as we celebrate life, and our relationship with the gods. [21+].
Outdoor Ritual Circle 1: Get This Party Started - Olive
This workshop focuses on founding the circle, issues of leadership, and how to encourage participation by both those new and those long in worshipping the gods. Get out. Get out of your basement; get out of your living room; get out of your dormitory. Take this workshop and create or rekindle your dreams of wild worship and carefree celebration under the open sky. Tackle not having a backyard, not knowing other wiccans, not knowing how to build a fire. Face down spiders, leeches, mud and the internet on your path to starlit glory. Move from holding a meet-and-greet, creating the outdoor circle, to your first ritual. Guide your group towards choosing craft names. Learn how to select ritual wine and beer, and discover economical sources of good cake for those who are baking-impaired. Take a look inside an outdoor circle's ritual bag, and see what entails altar set up and take-down. Participants will engage in two guided activities to practice melding the energies of strangers into a working circle. In the first, we'll explore a naturalistic way to cast a circle that is fluff-bunny friendly. In the second, learn to facilitate cooperation among the elitist bookworms by tapping into their patron gods. Group discussion on Wicca as a spectator sport. Ends with a pie-eating contest. Honest!
This is the first of three workshops designed to empower people to create their own outdoor ritual circles. The intended audience is teens and all adults; some material is not appropriate for small children.
Outdoor Ritual Circle 2: Even in Storm or Gloom of Night - Olive
This workshop focuses on adapting basic wiccan ritual mechanics to the out-of-doors, and novel techniques for spell-work on the esbat, without electricity and good lighting. Flock forth, my fellow wiccans. Ignore the heat, the driving hail, the hurricane warning, and the terrorism threat level. Embrace the essentials of the mystery religion: symposia, agape, and euphrosyne. For those of you who need to borrow my Greek dictionary, that's drinking parties, love, and good cheer. This workshop provides real-life testimony on how to hold rituals outdoors in fair weather and foul. Learn how to adapt standard wiccan ritual components to wilderness conditions, from casting spells to cakes and ale. We will briefly touch on the logistics of moving from just a ritual circle towards being a coven, from hashing out what your degrees will mean to the standards of initiation. We will also broach the value of rehearsal, memorization, and silent-direction. Participants will engage in two guided activities to practice elements of the esbat out-of-doors. The first will explore using an old folk tradition called the Liar's Bench. This technique will encourage your circle to flourish in turning their everyday lives into the stuff of pagan myth. In the second, the group will participate in a brief ritual activity that allows power to be raised while working with people who have no experience at all. Warning: there will be running with scissors!
This is the second of three workshops designed to empower people to create their own outdoor ritual circles. Each one can be taken alone, although pairing at least 1 with 2 or 3 is recommended. The intended audience is teens and all adults; some material is not appropriate for small children.
Outdoor Ritual Circle 3: Coven Cock Preaches 'The Art of Poach' - Olive
Focuses on practical tools for the out-of-door witch, sabbat traditions that reflect our global harvests, and formulating a modern pantheon reflective of multicultural life in the United States. Ever have your cell phone ring and expect it to be the Wiccan Lost and Found calling about your lost connection to the earth and your pagan mis-practice? Ever wonder how invoking a moon goddess and a grain god applies to the 21st Century? Ever wished the standard for ritual garb was your comfortable blue-jeans and Nikes? Once you step out of your living room and your velvet cape, you may never go back. Come explore the idea of living as pagans and wiccans as if 2,000 years had never separated us from the old ways. Who of the old gods would have traveled to the new world? In a country where out of many, one people were made, is prejudice stronger than the passion and friendship of two millennia? This workshop explores the construction of a modern pantheon and the tools of a more cosmopolitan witchcraft. Find ritual ideas for making the myths of long-dead pagans alive in our culture: the Descent of Inanna, Demeter and Persephone, John Barleycorn and the Wild Hunt, a globe-trotting Green Man, and Kheperah as the Beetle to the Rescue. Follow how a new ritual tradition in the Coven Cock, symbolizing the sacrifice of the grain god originated and survived to perpetuation. Participants will engage in two guided activities to practice elements of adapting sabbat mythos to the out-of-doors. The group will first use consensus to construct a modern pantheon. In the second activity, the group will again use consensus to fashion a Wheel of the Year Mythos to honor their modern pantheon. And oh yes, there will be wine!
This is the third of three workshops designed to empower people to create their own outdoor ritual circles. The intended audience is teens and all adults; some material is not appropriate for small children. .
Poetry In Motion: Writing Love Letters To The Divine - Rebecca Proch
This creative, salon-style workshop will bring out our inner bohemians as we gather to talk about the power of poetry and poetic language in our rituals and invocations (focusing on the ones we create from scratch). We'll read a few existing pieces aloud for inspiration, then play some creative writing and word games to awaken the muse in ourselves and get over the fear that we aren't 'real' writers. Part open mic, part artist's lounge; bring your dark glasses, 'cause this isn't your high school poetry class! Recommended for ritual writers and those with a basic knowledge of poetry, but all are welcome. Please bring a pad of paper and pen or pencil; there will be a few extras on hand. You should also feel free to bring examples of your poetic ritual writing to share.
The Possession Experience - K Filan & Kathy Latzoni
A brief look at possession in Vodou, compared and contrasted with possession and similar experiences in other traditions. Possible topics of discussion would include the differences and similarities between possession and 'aspecting' or 'shadowing' and a comparison and contrast between positive possession experiences (possession by a Lwa, Samadhi, etc.) and negative (oppression, 'demonic possession' etc.).
Power Vinyasa Yoga - Aidan Baird
This is a challenging, vigorous workout most appropriate for those who are already fitness-minded and who have already had some exposure to yoga. Note: please bring a yoga mat, a pad or blanket. The instructor may have a few extra mats on hand.
Practical Poly - Carol Boyer & Jeff Kalmar
Building on the foundation of several Polyamory 101 workshops that have previously been offered at FSG (as well as at other festivals), Practical Poly is a slightly more advanced workshop, designed for those who are already in an active poly relationship, or who are giving serious consideration to opening a relationship that is currently monogamous. The focus of the workshop will be on making agreements, setting personal boundaries, sexual safety, and 'damage control.' At the conclusion of the presentation, Jeff and Carol will facilitate an open discussion on poly issues. [18+].
Preparing a Druid Solstice Celebration - Cenn Ruadh
So, what is this sacred center business? What is a bile? Why do Druids always do things in 3s? Background, poly-theology and practice for the Druid Solstice ritual and for those interested in learning about ADF high days.
The Priye Ginen: Prayer of Africa - Firesong
Beginning workshop for those interested in Vodou. Different tribes from all over Africa, as well as indigenous and European cultures, merged in Haiti. With an overlay of Roman Catholicism, all these different groups decided to honor everyone's Spirits, everyone's ancestors. The Priye Ginen was born. The Priye Ginen is a group of sung prayers which sets sacred space for Vodou services. These prayers follow a certain set pattern, but individual songs may vary from place to place. Traditionally sung in French, Creole, and African langaj, the Priye is a journey, beginning with Catholic songs and moving back into African. In this workshop we will discuss aspects of the Priye, hear a few traditional songs and go back to its origins of inclusiveness by constructing a Priye for Pagans. Please bring writing instruments.
Recovery - Bobbi & Kim
Recovery/Twelve Step/Sober Support: Need a meeting? Need to take a break from the festival revelry? Take this opportunity to connect with others in recovery, share safe space and make new friends. Come join us for fellowship and sharing.
Reiki Share - Molly & Tim
Reiki is a wonderfully powerful yet gentle energy healing technique. Officially touted as a stress reduction and relaxation technique, Reiki also has tremendous potential healing capabilities. It is a Japanese technique that involves channeling the universal life force energy into a client's energy field. This helps restore the proper energetic balance and therefore clears up physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual 'dis-ease.' This Reiki share is intended for people to exhange Reiki energy, but also for people who want to learn something about Reiki if they have never experienced it. All are welcome!.
Religious War - Nybor
What causes a religious war? Are all wars, in part or totally, religious in nature? Can there be peace as long as there are more than one religion? These and other questions wil be addressed in an open discussion. Bring your ideas and rhetoric.
Renaissance Hair Braiding - Julie Fennell
Have you ever been to a Renaissance Faire and wondered how the braiders there worked their hair magic? I'm not a professional, but I can let you in on a few secrets of the trade, either to braid your own hair or someone else's. Ladies and gentlemen of all ages welcome (although children under 10 should be accompanied).
Revenge of the Intro to Fire Spinning: Intermediate - Hambone & Hobbit
This is a continuation of the Introduction to Fire Spinning class. The class will build on the foundation laid in the first class, introducing more intermediate/advanced moves and concepts. Less time will be spent on the origin/basics of poi, but fire safety will still be a top priority. Working with lit poi is a possibility, but will depend on the class attendance and the comfort level of the instructors.
Romancy: The Magic of Love - Rebecca Proch
From antiquity, peoples around the world have honored God/desses of love and beauty. Today, modern Pagans are frequently drawn to the energy of Love and love magic, yet the path of the Lover has been muddied by assumptions that it is "fluffy bunny" and unserious, selfish and manipulative, shallow, even immoral or dangerous. This moderated group discussion is for everyone who has felt an urge to relate to the Divine as Beloved, or to express their spirituality through the perspective of romantic love, yet has found few if any established models.
What is the role of the Lover in the Pagan community as a whole, and what needs could it fill? Since love deities are so often female, how does the masculine also embody love and beauty? How does one address the often-dualistic view of Romantic Love if one is polyamorous or transgendered? Can the Lover as Romantic exist in a path that is distinct from one of sacred sexuality (even if it includes it)? What do other paths and cultures have to teach us about the idea of the Divine Beloved? What are some ways that the path of the Lover can be expressed outwards, as a state of "being in love with the world?" Come with open mind and open heart, and share your thoughts on the path of the Lover.
Self-defense as a Spiritual Practice - Tom Swiss
You are a manifestation of the divine, a child of the God and Goddess. That makes you a being worth defending; yet our culture's confused attitudes about violence, plus the self-esteem issues faced by many people in the pagan community, often obscure the fact that self-defense is also defense of the divine principle within all of us. In this workshop we will try to cut through the fog and discuss attitudes and skills to preserve not just your body but your divine nature. Targeted for those without previous martial arts or self-defense training; but experienced students are also welcome. We will practice verbal and non-verbal communication skills for dealing with conflict, and a few simple self-defense techniques.
Sex, Gender, and The Soul - Ngakma Tashi Dorje
As Magick practitioners we learned Magick within the context of Western culture's limited binary view of sex and gender. A 21st century magickal practitioner requires a more enlightened stance that can perceive the soul as being beyond gender. This class seeks to advance your magickal practice by exploring your concepts of sex and gender and how they may be limiting your magickal potential. Prerequisite: the ability to frankly discuss sex and gender issues. [18+].
Small Magic: The Art of Designing & Creating Amulets - Rev. Tannin Schwartzstein
The nature of materials both ancient (such as bones and wood) and new (such as electronic components) can be combined with lore and our own energy to make special companions for ritual and everyday use. In this workshop we will be discussing the design and creation of "amulets," "talismans," and "fetishes" for ourselves and others. For beginners through intermediates.
So, This is Your First Festival? - FSG Staff

SomaEnergetics--Sound Healing with Solfeggio - Molly & Tim
SomaEnergetics is a sound healing method that utilizes the Solfeggio frequencies, ancient tones that were hidden away from the populace. These tones were a part of Gregorian chants in medieval churches, but when it was discovered how they elicit spiritual experiences they were tucked away as a form of control. The six Solfeggio notes are slightly different from the diatonic scale (what you would hear from a piano), and they each possess unique energetic qualities. It has been discovered that these frequencies, along with others frequencies in the 'body tuners', are useful for healing and balancing the energy body. Among other things, they help free up stored potential energy, break old patterns, and raise the overall vibration of the client. This workshop will give some information about the frequencies, allow time for mini-sessions, and include some hands-on exercises for the attendees.
Son of Intermediate Fire Spinning: Advanced - Hambone & Hobbit
This is a continuation of the Intermediate Fire Spinning class. Less time will be spent on the basics of poi, with more time for the sharing of more complex techniques. We will also focus on spotting for other spinners, so non-spinners wishing to learn how to properly assist a fire-spinner are more than welcome to attend. Working with lit poi is likely, but will still depend on the class attendance and comfort level of the instructors.
Songs of the Lwa - Firesong

Spiritual Anatomy: A Brief Introduction - Arakeane & Selene
The ability to work with spiritual energy is a skill that can be learned, limited only by ones self-esteem and effort. One aspect of this learning process is becoming familiar with spiritual anatomy, i.e. the nature of spirituality as it relates to us as physical beings. We will learn about our spiritual boundaries, and contracting and expanding them in response to different situations. We will discuss how to be spiritually attractive and know that your partner is spiritually compatible. We will go into spiritual anatomical discrimination and discuss the basics of scanning. The workshop will consist of both lecture and group exercises. One need not be an intuitive to discern the subjects that will be presented.
Spiritual Anatomy: Seven Stages of Power and Healing Part 1 - Arakeane & Selene
The ability to work with spiritual energy is a skill that can be learned, limited only by one's self-esteem and effort. One aspect of this learning process is becoming familiar with spiritual anatomy or the nature of spirituality as it relates to us as physical beings. The focus of this two-part course will be a survey of what are sometimes referred to as "The Seven Stages of Power and Healing." A supposition of the relationships between the Seven Chakras, the Christian Sacraments, The Jewish Ten Sefirot, and the Wiccan Circle will be offered. Each of Seven Sacred Truths will be examined in more detail. Questions for self-examination are offered and a daily meditation is presented. One need not be an intuitive to participate, but each attendee will take away different lessons from this workshop.
Note: Part of any learning process is in physical experience. All participation in any exercise is voluntary, but without participation the value of this workshop is limited.
Spiritual Anatomy: Seven Stages of Power and Healing Part 2 - Arakeane & Selene
A continuation of the process started in Part 1 (which is a prerequisite).
Spiritual Ethics - Nybor

Star-gazing With a Telescope - Bill Seligman (Fàidh)
If the night is clear, a telescope will be set up in the middle of the soccer field. Observing will begin at about 9:00p and last as long as people are interested. Several planets will be visible (including this one if you look down). If you want to gaze at the stars as our ancestors did, bring a blanket. Prior attendance at The Night Sky class is welcome, but not required.
Storytelling as History, Teaching and Healing - Elspeth of Haven
Throughout human existence, information has been carried in the memories of the people. Part of understanding illness, for instance, is seeing it as part of myth and story. All of us, especially the children, learn from stories. As we build community once again, we need to revive these skills. .
The Structure of Spellcasting Part 1: Magickal Power - Deborah Lipp
What makes a spell work? What impedes its progress? What are the preconditions for a spell to succeed? How do the magician, the target, the goal, and the Gods affect a spell? Magic is an integral part of many of our lives, yet much of the magic we do is left unanalyzed. By looking closely at what does and doesn't work, we can improve our spells. Based on material in my forthcoming (2006) book, The Way of Four Spellbook. Both for beginners to magic and to those who wish to fine-tune their craft. In Part 1, Magical Power, we will cover the nature of magic, sources of power,
raising power, and different power-raising techniques.
The Structure of Spellcasting Part 2: Structure - Deborah Lipp
Part 2 covers constructing spells to take advantage of power sources, the basic outline of spells, building spells around an outline, deciding when to do spells and when not to do spells, and disposing of spells. At the end of this class, we'll assign "homework" to be brought to Part Three.
The Structure of Spellcasting Part 3: Putting Spells Together - Deborah Lipp
Students are to come back to Part Three with their own proposed spells. We'll go over various spells brought by students for discussion and figure out what will work and why, and how to tinker to improve spells. People who haven't attended earlier classes can attend and observe the process by which a spell is designed.

Come to our workshop and learn how to infuse positive energy into garments and make them one-of-a-kind with tie-dye. You can bring your own items to be dyed, or you can purchase a tee shirt or a sarong. Goddess sizes will be available. This is not arts and crafts for children; it is meant for adults. Materials fee: $10.
Tools of the Trade: An Energy Worker's Guide - Rev. Tannin Schwartzstein
In most beginners' books on magick, the basic Ceremonial Magick/Wiccan altar tools are described and discussed on a symbolic level. However, in many energy working systems, the tools of working magick take on a dimension beyond symbols. Shape, material, and method of manufacture can define the use and usefulness of any given energy tool. In this unusual, hands-on workshop, we will discuss tools for a variety of functions including grounding, severing, and creation of boundaries. This is not a crafting class per se; no special materials are needed. Crafters and energy workers alike are welcome to come and talk Shop! This is an intermediate-level class; beginners are welcome but may be lost at times.

Trick-or-Treat - Discordian Staff
Bringing a little ritual silliness and chaos to your regular programming, the Discordians ask all those with imagination and gusto to come on an impromptu Trick or Treating run. Wear your own costumes, or improvise one from the materials we provide. A good way to get to know your neighbors at festival, have a little lighthearted fun, and maybe score some candy! We'll meet at Cabin 2 and depart from there.
Vodou's Little Mysteries: The Ti-Miste - K Filan & Kathy Latzoni
The 'Ti-Miste' is a Vodou classification which incorporates 'house spirits,' 'work lwa,' 'djabs,' and other lesser-known spirits. While not so well known as some of the major Lwa, the Ti-Miste can be powerful assistants and guards. This workshop will discuss how you can work with the Little Mysteries, and compare them to other 'house spirits' like the European Fae.
Walking Wild: Pursuit of Power Animal Wisdom: - Rev. Tannin Schwartzstein
Power Animals. Totem Animals. Spirit Animals. No matter what term a "tradition" applies to the Spirit Teachers that represent the myriad of other species that humans share our planet with, the desire to understand and utilize their potential remains the same. For beginners through intermediates.
What is Traditional Wicca? - Kenny Klein

Whys & Wherefores of Fire Tending - Zenlizard
There is a lot more to building a bonfire than just tossing wood. Many people have expressed intrest in learning what's involved, and this is the workshop where all is explained. The intent is to explain the dynamics of building sacred fires, with the major focus being on how the physical dynamics interact with the safety and spiritual aspects of bonfires. Please note that this will involve a fair amount of physical
labor, in the afternoon sun, so come prepared to work, and remember to
wear your sunscreen.
Wicca and Buddhist Thought: A Fusion Towards Interfaith Dialogue - Ngakma Tashi Dorje
Wicca has been the big success religion of the past twenty years as many modern people have intuitively been rejecting materialism, as well as abandoning the old moribund dogmas. As a result, both Tibetan Buddhism and Wicca are growing rapidly in the English-speaking countries. There will come a time when there will need to be an interfaith dialogue between the two paths. The purpose of this discussion is to examine the similarities and differences between Wicca and Tibetan Buddhism.
