Beltane Play Space Rules

• The house safeword is “Red” for stop; the house caution word is “Yellow.” A DM will intervene in a scene if s/he hears the word “Red” and the top in the scene does not stop the scene.
• Prostitution, solicitation, and negotiation of compensation for sexual services are illegal. Violations shall result in removal.
• We require safer sex practices for all activities in the Play Space, including among fluid-bonded partners. Safer sex supplies are located throughout the Play Space.
• A DM’s word is final and must be obeyed. If you believe that someone is in violation of scene etiquette or rules, please notify a DM.
• No cameras, video, or audio recording devices are permitted in the Play Space.
• Cleaning supplies are available throughout the Play Space (look around for “Safety Stations”). If you do a wax or other messy scene, please put a tarp or drop cloth underneath. Please clean up after your scene; leave all equipment free from sweat, blood, other body fluids, wax, toys, etc. Bring body fluid contamination to the attention of a DM.
• Piercing and other bloodplay may only be done with advance prior permission by DM-designated safety coordinators, only in designated areas, adhering to safety coordinators’ rules, and under safety coordinators’ supervision. No exceptions. Attendance at the safety class (when offered) is strongly encouraged before any and all scenes involving piercing or other blood play. No piercing supplies will be provided by the venue or the safety coordinators; please bring your own supplies, including proper sharps containers.
• Use of single-tail whips is by the DM’s permission only. Please check with a DM before engaging in single-tail play.
• Please follow normal party etiquette. Do not interfere with a scene. Do not touch anyone or anyone’s gear without permission. You are not required to say or do anything. Watching is acceptable. Please keep all conversation, laughter, and comments to a minimum in the Play Space.
• Play fair. Do not monopolize equipment to the extent that others do not have the opportunity to use it during the event.
• Abnormally loud screaming and talking within a scene is discouraged as a courtesy to other players. DMs may ask tops to quiet or gag loud bottoms if there are complaints.
• No alcohol, illegal substances, or intoxicated persons of any kind are permitted in the Play Space.
• No food or drink (with the exception of water) is permitted in the Play Space.
• Fire play is prohibited in all indoor spaces except for the Tin Can main Play Space. Fire play in the Play Space is by the DM’s permission only; please check with a DM before engaging in fire play. Fire play is permitted outdoors; please be very careful about the surrounding area and foliage. Please bring your own supplies, including a plainly visible extinguishing method.
• Neither Free Spirit Alliance, Turtle Hill Events, their boards of coordinators, nor the management, owners, or operators of the facility, nor any agents, successors or assigns of any of the foregoing shall be liable to any attendee for injury to person or property incurred as a result of attendance at this event.
• By your entry into the Play Space, you acknowledge that you have read these rules, understand them, and will abide by them. You also acknowledge that you assume all risks incident to your attendance at this event.
