Awakening the Serpent: The Art of Feminine Erotic Dance - Denise Cumor
This workshop will explore the art of erotic dance through various exercises created to awaken shakti, the feminine energy dwelling in all women. Dancers will learn how to invoke and embody the Goddess through sensual movements, ecstatic dance, and divine connection. Please wear garments that make you fell sensual. Scarves, veils and props are welcomed and encouraged.

Babylon's Temple - The Pink Sphinx
The Pink Sphinx cordially invites members of the community to visit the Temple of Babylon. The Temple of Babylon's goal is to provide a space and staff to those whose sacred sexuality might require a little structure, sanctuary, and an opportunity for focused Pagan religious introspection. Staff members will be available to assist parishoners by offering lay counciling, divination, energy work, and grounding & centering assistance during posted hours. Visitors of all paths are welcome to visit the shrine of Babylon, The Great Mystery. Parishoners are encouraged to come and meditate at the shrine, leave offerings, and petitions. We ask that, before they enter the main area, all seekers check in with our Hospitality Engineer before entering the space for orientation about our Temple and its offerings.

BDSM: Elemental Tools of Ritual - The Pink Sphinx
Have you played in a dungeon but not gone to a circle? Are you experienced doing magick in circle context but not been aquainted with shared BDSM "play space?" Come and join The Pink Sphinx for a Walk Between the worlds of the BDSM play space and the "sacred space" in the context of a Neo-Pagan circle. We will discuss the similarities differences, and crossovers of the types of activites therein. This class will have participatory sections for willing volunteers.

Become the Fire Bird - Arakeane & Selene
Spiritual learning comes from experience. The fire bird symbolizes our innate desire to raise energy and set our spirits free! This is an experiential class in fire play in sacred space. We will form a circle about our altar to the fire, discuss safety, and Selene will demonstrate sacred, sensual fire-play. Thereafter, each participant may choose to receive the blessings of fire and/or give its blessings. Note that although fire play might be thought of as edgy, we have conducted this ritual with over 100 people to date and the fire has blessed us with nothing more serious than the occasional slight sunburn effect. Beginner to Intermediate Drum Workshop - Conrad Kubiak
Conrad Kubiak, master drum-maker, performer, Teacher and spiritual rythmatist will introduce the three basic tones of the Djembes, traditional concepts of hand techniques, care and maintenance of your drum, how to tune your drum, and a variety of drum rhythms that will sounds great at the fire circle. Conrad's hand-crafted drums will be available for participants to use during this workshop.

Bellydance: Sacred Ritual, Childbirth Prep, or Ethnic Boogie? - Lauren, Courtesan
The funny thing about this dance is that people come to it for different reasons, and all are equally valid using the same dance vocabulary. We will dance the elements with hips of fire, arms of wind, and torso of water. We will strengthen muscles used in carrying and delivering a baby, in maintaining balance and grace, and in giving and receiving incredibly strong orgasms—women, you can give yourself one without visibly moving! Mostly, we'll learn to listen to the drums and use these simple folk-dance movements to let our souls dance, too. Men and women of all ages and body types are welcome. Bring something to tie around your hips if at all possible.

Better Sounds of Sex - Michelle Zee
Do you have difficulty making sounds during love making? Would you like to call in the gods and goddesses with making louder and more passionate noises and moans? Would you like to enhance your and your partner(s) orgasms with sound? The come and have fun at this workshop! We will play with sounds in a safe environment and practice different love noises. Either come with a partner(s) or be prepare to match up with new people or do solo sound sex work! Beginner Audience: Any who would enjoys making sexy sounds!

Binding Intentions: The Art of Rope Magic - Lee Harrington
Fiber art magic has been a part of sacred mysteries for ages, the Fates measuring our lives, weaving them into the tapestry of life, and then cutting our cords when our time has run out. We will dive into the applications of rope magic, from intention setting to connection building, blessings and curses, weaving lives together and relaying the strands of our own lives into the patterns we desire. From classic Wiccan spells of eight knots to dream catchers, erotic bondage as a connection tool or ordeal, binding energy into our relationships, laying physical cord as a route to laying silver cords in the astral realms, and creating "haunted" rope, rope magic comes in a thousand forms and we'll touch on as many as we can. Also addressed will be concepts of ethics in energy work, the conflicts of formal fiber traditions with modern minds, and even weave our senses into modern applications of fiber magic.

Boundaries: Speaking Truth, Meeting Needs, Releasing Attachments - Sarah Taub & Jade Swann
Beltane offers opportunities for many new experiences, but it can push our edges, too. How many of us say "yes" to things we don't actually want out of guilt, obligation, or a fear of losing connection? In many ways, "no" is the most intimate thing that one person can say to another. If I can hear your "no," I can trust your "yes." Practice the skills of self-awareness (what do I really want?), transparency (revealing our true desires), and non-attachment (dealing with the feelings associated with not getting our first choice) in this experiential workshop. These skills enable us to find the space of mutually desired and open-hearted connection that is available to us with each person.

Building A New Culture Based on Love and Freedom - Michael Rios & Jade Swann
We are in a time of crisis and change. Can we draw from the ecstatic to create and shape that change? Creating a sustainable world based on love, freedom, and community won't happen piecemeal; it depends on people recreating themselves, their relationships, and their place in the world holistically. This workshop will share some of the insights and experiences that have come from trying to create a new culture, and provide opportunities to connect to other people and events who are walking this path.

Chocolate Ancestors Ritual - Puck and the Brewmaster
Once again, Puck and the Brewmaster bring you fabulous chocolate, this time in a sacred setting. We'll begin with a brief ritual that honors the Maya, the 'chocolate ancestors,' by frothing and consuming chocolate as a sacred beverage. Our altar will have cacao beans, a vanilla pod, chilies, and other chocolate products. Participants can add objects to the altar if they wish. The chocolate tasting will follow, including 4 to 6 types of chocolate, and accompanied by wines. Participants are encouraged to feed their partners! After the chocolate has been devoured, we'll have a brief closing ritual. Communication for Magical Erotic Play - Fire Tashlin
What are the challenges and requirements of negotiation and communication for incorporating energy, sex magic, or spirit work in your sex play? We'll be discussing issues such as: how do you make sure that all parties involved have a shared understanding of terminology such as 'energy?' How do you talk about these topics with a partner who isn't sure if they believe in magic etc? How do you negotiate 'spooky' safe sex with someone whose concept of magic or energy is different from yours? What are the key questions you need to ask a partner you are going to be having some sort of magical sex with? The ancient tradition of Chinese Medicine recognizes sexual activity as a valuable way to cultivate qi, the energy of life. In this workshop we will discuss breathing, visualization, and acupressure techniques that can enhance both health and lovemaking. While some of the techniques discussed will be specific for men, many can be practiced by both men and women.

Cuttings & Scarifications - Sarah Sloane
Tribal societies and other subcultures have a long history of ritually marking their bodies in a variety of manners (including tattoos and body piercings), but the oldest of these body modifications involves scarification. In this workshop, we'll discuss the energetic and spiritual implications of opening up the skin and semi-permanent marking, and demonstrate scarification via cutting as well as cutting the skin in the context of an SM scene for endorphins and blood play. Intermediate level for practitioners, but the discussion can be enjoyed by people who are beginner through experienced.

Desired Object, Forgotten Object: Erotic Objectification for Animists - Lee Harrington

Let's talk about sex magic with the emphasis on the 'sex' rather than the 'magic.' Theories of playing with energy and magic as another sexual tool will be followed by interactive exercises designed to teach several basic techniques at whatever your comfort level may be. In addition to how, we'll talk about when (and when not) to include this kind of play in your sex life. Exploring the Aphrodisiac Mind: The Art of Erotic Writing - Edie Weinstein-Moser
We all have a story to tell that beautifully portrays our deepest heart longing. Much of what that is about is union with a Beloved that goes beyond simply great sex. (Not that there's anything wrong with that!) This workshop is for beginning and advanced writers. Creativity is our birthright, so I invite you to take the vivid imagination that you possess and let your juicy imagination flow out onto paper. In a safe, sacred space, this experiential workshop will include nurturing touch, sensory awakening, dance, relaxation and visualization to stoke the fire, creative writing exercises and then designing a poem or a story. There will be the option to read your story aloud to the group. Before we can set fingers to keyboard or pen to paper, it helps to dip into the well of pleasure (whatever that means to you) Celebrate your ability to glean treasures from your mind, which is said to be the most powerful aphrodisiac. You are invited to allow your senses to lead the way and plant seeds for writing poetry or stories to tickle your fancy, or whatever else you have in mind. Facilitated Labyrinth Walk - Miss B Haven
The Labyrinth is a spiritual tool that can be used to discover and explore the interior self, the divine within and outside ourselves, find inner peace, seek solutions to deeply burning questions. Gender Bender Ball - Del
Is it a ritual dance party? A sacred performance space? Or just a great reason to put on a dress? That, and so much more! We invite you to come on a exploration with us, through planned performances by well-known drag and burlesque performers, and through your own revelry. This is a safe space to play with gendered presentation in all of it's forms—come as your manliest manself, or femme it up! Cross dressing is encouraged, but not necessary; just show us how playful you can be! Not sure how to put on makeup? Worried that your tie isn't tied right? We'll have "Gender Assistants" on hand who can help keep your lipliner correct, your bra straight, your chest bound, or whatever else you might need help with to express your gender play. Above all else, this is a sacred, safe space for people to present as whatever gender they wish, and to be seen as such!

Guedra: North African Women's Trance Dance/Ritual - Lauren, Courtesan
This is a pre-Islamic community building ritual from Morocco and Mali. Although it is described as a dance, it can as easily be done seated. Come sing, chant, clap, and enjoy the bond of every mother and every lover in the world. Wear comfortable clothing, and no jewelry that moves or may fly off during vigorous movement. Traditionally, Guedra is only done by women. For our purposes, this ritual is open to anyone who identifies as female, regardless of what's in your undies.

Healing and Hot Wax - Kate
Returns by popular demand! In the path of Ordeal, there are many ways to combine healing and physical experience. Join Kate as she leads a guided healing meditation using hot melted wax to use the body to release the mind to manifest Intent and connect to the Divine. Bring a towel or ground covering to go under a provided dropcloth, and something to use as a blindfold. Donations to offset the cost of supplies are appreciated, but not required. You may bring a partner/s or attend solo; solo attendees will be paired randomly (with consent of course); partnerships of more than two people should be advised that the meditation will only be run through twice.

How Not to Flirt With a Goddess - Tom Swiss
For the most interesting sort of sacred sexuality practices, you need a partner, which implies going out and trying to make a special connection with someone. Unfortunately mainstream society teaches us men to behave in some amazingly stupid ways to pick up women, and you can often see these in full display at Pagan festivals. We'll discuss some more sane and respectful ways to flirt with self-actualized and aware women. While this workshop is aimed at straight men, much of the advice is universal, and women and gay men are invited to come share their observations and advice.

Intention and Attention: A Key to Ecstasy - Whittney Matlock
Many spiritual traditions teach and study along paths of power. Some are familiar: meditation, dancing, drumming, chanting, et cetera. Others may seem unconventional such as binding (bondage), scourging (flogging) and asceticism (self-privation and body mortification). Why are these revered as Paths of Power? Labyrinth Building - Miss B Haven
You may have walked the Labyrinth, but have you ever participated in building a Labyrinth? The Labyrinth is an archetypal symbol that can be found in one form or another in all cultures and faiths throughout history. It has been described as a spiritual path, a walking meditation, and a metaphor for the journey of life and faith. The Labyrinth is a spiritual tool that can be used to discover and explore the interior self, the divine within and outside ourselves, find inner peace, seek solutions to deeply burning questions. The Labyrinth is a safe space that, when used with sincere intention, can be a place of healing, enlightenment, and spiritual growth. Join Miss B Haven in creating a Classic Seven Circuit Labyrinth (also known as a Cretan Labyrinth). The Labyrinth is sacred space, and it is based on ancient, sacred geometry. Careful preparation of the site, blessing of the land, and the intention of the heart are all important elements in creating a spiritually powerful Labyrinth. This 45' Labyrinth will be made from glow-in-the-dark rope (which can be experienced in the dark). Upon completion, the builders will warm up and christen the Labyrinth in uniquely Beltane fashion (be prepared for optional nudity—or optional clothing—depending on your perspective). Suitable for all levels of experience. This workshop will be canceled or rescheduled in the event of rain; if it's not raining, we'll meet on the porch of the Dining Hall.

Lemons/Lemonade: The Pain/Pleasure of Poly/Mono Relationships - Anita Wagner
Probably the greatest challenge in finding what works to resolve conflict in polyamorous relationships is working out the challenge that arises when one partner is polyamorous and the other is monogamous. How do people manage? Is it possible to find mutual happiness under such circumstances? And what effect do they have on our spirit? Draining? Nourishing? This workshop and discussion will explore the ways in which poly/mono relationships wither for some and thrive for others. It will be conducted sensitively as to the experiences of the monogamous partners as well as the polyamorous partners. Poly/mono couples and groups who have a story to tell are especially welcome. A useful handout will be included.

Loving Two In One: Sex and Relationships with TG Lovers - Raven and Joshua
It takes a special kind of person to be in a relationship with a transgendered person. We're complex people with a lot of special needs, but we're worth it. We'll explore what it takes to date, love, and commit to people who are more than just male or female. This workshop is for anyone of any gender who loves, lusts after, or embodies, the sacred Third.

Magical Toys and You (An Introduction) - Fire Tashlin
'It's Magic' can be more than just a marketing slogan when it comes to sex toys. Let's talk about some of the different ways you can use energy and magic to enhances this popular toy. You'll learn spell work for both temporarily and permanently making your toys 'magical,' and some ritual/spells you can do with your newly enhanced little friends. This is a class on healing. Many people use BDSM as a mechanism for relief from stress and to heal from the wounds of life. On Thursday, my focus will be on scanning. This will go beyond simple surface scans to deep meaningful scans of your partner. On Friday, my focus will be on exploring. Having scanned a partner (or having obtained knowledge about a partner which you would like to explore), one must be very careful in exploring this knowledge. Most of us have secrets and things we protect. When a partner has learned about something that we protect, we may become defensive or emotional, but when properly presented with love and compassion, a partner can heal more deeply than any amount of professional therapy can typically achieve. I will talk about some of my exploring experiences, successes, failures, and lessons learned. I will emphasize psychic penetration as a mechanism to increase empathy and realize healing. Partners will be given several exercises to learn to enhance exploring skills including a homework assignment for the dungeon.

On Saturday, my focus will be on change, alteration, and healing wounds. Having explored a partner's condition and discovering wounds of a variety of sorts, we then wish to share our love and heal our partner's wounds. BDSM is one of several mechanisms for healing. My intent is to go beyond the simple causal effects (which in and of themselves are often sufficient to bring about change) into the range of deep shamanic healing within the dungeon environment. In so doing, I hope to give participants a greater understanding of why BDSM works, and to reduce or eliminate societal influences which cloud our judgment concerning the practice of BDSM.

I recommend bringing a partner that you have (or will) play with to each session, but you can always hook-up at the class. There are no pre-requisites for each of the sessions.

Body marking in some form has existed in human social groups for 50,000 years. Burial sites reveal the use of red ochre, a naturally occurring substance, painted on the remains. Natives in the Americas were decorated with elaborate animals and other symbols as a mark of membership or totem. Painted markings on the body often denoted changes in the life cycle, such as maturity, or signaled sacredness, or even the readiness for sexual activity. Markings come in many forms; tattoos, scarification and branding are permanent. Painting using earth substances or henna is temporary. Each kind has its particular place. Join us in cabins ABCD as we once again present the "Strip Club," the "Sexperience Room," and the "Sights of Sex" for your sensual and sexual enjoyment. The Strip Club will feature a top of the line rotating stripper pole, so everyone (men and women) can experience what it's like to be a stripper, or just to dance in front of a crowd of strangers. The Sexperience Room will allow people to explore both the exhibitionist and voyeuristic sides of their psyche. Sexual Meditations - SwitchMe
"Meditation" is often strongly associated with the sacred. It is too frequently immutable, bound only to a specific purity or sanctity. While such meditation practices are rewarding, they generally omit one crucial component of our lives: sex. Meditation can be structured around sex and sexual practice. The spiritual power of sex is used to build a powerful meditation process that incorporates our sexual desires and practice. This workshop will consider the many ways to build a strong meditation practice with sex at the center. This need not be done daily, but the value of making your own eros part of a daily regimen can help you feel happier and healthier. Beginning with the basics—sitting and the breath—we will then explore the ways we might invite our sex practices into a meditative process. While the goal is to open up to a different way of meditation, this is a solo process; there is no touch or contact with others. There is no requirement to be partnered or to bring a partner; singles are welcome. This is an active process; you will be self-exploring your sexuality, and there is sexual activity happening. We will find a more deeply fulfilling sense of being, and discover the sheer joy of letting our sexual energy become spiritual through a dynamic meditation process. Please bring a blanket and pillow (or what comforts you).

Sexuality and Invocation - Rill
Pan, Bacchus, Dionysus, Zeus, The Horned Lord of the Witches, Aphrodite, Venus, Ishtar, Mab are all known for their voracious sexual appetites. How do we handle these appetites with grace when the Gods are in our bodies? What should we expect when we Draw these Deities down? How can we create appropriate "contracts" with the Gods beforehand, to protect ourselves and our groups? What are our limits as people, and what limits are appropriate to set on Them when They are using us as vessels?

Shamanic Healing Ceremony - Caroline Kenner
This ritual will manifest as much healing as possible for the highest good of each person in the circle, within the limitations of time and energy. Each shamanic healing ceremony is spirit-guided, and thus unique. Miracles are a distinct possibility. We will make sacred space and call to our spirit allies and deities. Caroline will sing, and merge with her helping spirits. The spirits will choose who receives which aspects of shamanic healing. The three major shamanic healing protocols are extraction, soul retrieval and power animal retrieval. Other possible healings are the lifting of bad magic and depossession. People interested in learning shamanic healing are particularly encouraged to attend this ceremony. Much can be learned from watching an experienced shamanic healer at work.

Songs of Sex, Love, and Passion - Sarah Taub & Michael Rios
Music has the power to connect us, arouse us, and move us deeply. Please join Michael and Sarah for a song circle that we're calling 'Songs of Sex, Love, and Passion.' We have loving, funny, and erotic songs to share with you, and we want to hear your songs too! Everyone is welcome; bring your favorite love song or bawdy ballad, your singing or humming voice, any instruments (if you play), and/or your favorite songbook. Traditional Beltane songs are also encouaged. Everyone is invited to sing, and you are also 'at choice' just to listen if you prefer. We'll have some simple songs that everyone can learn quickly, plus copies of Rise Up Singing, which is full of wonderful songs. The circle will be informally structured. We hope that everyone who wants will have the opportunity to lead or share a song, and there may be time for instrumental jamming as well.

Soul Retrieval for Sexual Abuse Survivors - Caroline Kenner
Six survivors of sexual abuse are invited to attend this healing ceremony, in which the compassionate healing spirits of the universe will work for the highest good of all participants. At the end of this ritual, survivors will receive their soul parts back, as well as receiving any other shamanic empowerments necessary. These healings will take a year and a day to fully manifest. Shamanic healing has been nurtured in tribal societies for millennia because it works. Caroline Kenner is a survivor of sexual abuse herself, and it is her own healing through soul retrieval that drew her onto the shamanic path. If you wish to attend this ceremony, please speak to Caroline ahead of time, or arrive early, for best results. Max class size: 6.

Terminology and general concepts will be outlined and types of play will be demonstrated. Questions will be welcomed! This workshop is highly recommended for folks new to the BDSM Scene who would like to attend the Festival's dungeon space (which will follow this workshop). Zen and the Art of Love - Tom Swiss
The Buddha required chastity from his monks, holding that sexual desire was a sure path to suffering. Two millennia later, respected Zen Master Ikkyū, noted for wearing his monk's robes to brothels, wrote poems like "a woman is enlightenment when you're with her and the red thread / of both your passions flare inside you and you see." How do we resolve these teachings? Focusing on the "Red Thread" tradition of Zen, we'll discuss if and how we can apply the Buddhist principles of mindfulness, compassion, and non-attachment to sex and love.
